What is the best car to buy? This is normally very subjective.

If you buy a new car, there are a lot of choices.  German cars are normally good quality (e.g. Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Volkswagen, Audi).  The Japanese cars are normally also very reliable (e.g. Toyota, Honda).

But in the end you have to live with your car.  Try to buy a car that meet your needs in stead of buying a car just after the name.

Concerning used cars, Toyota’s probably have the best reputation, but they are normally the most expensive second hand.  A Mercedes-Benz which is not too old might also be a good choice.

On the other hand, you might be able to pick up Mazda’s, Renaults, Opels, Hyundai’s, etc. for a lot cheaper than you would pay for a second hand Toyota or Mercedes.  Try and see which is the best value for money.

A car from a single owner that was well looked after is almost always a good proposition.
